The story of Victoria’s Secret brand, one of the sexiest brands started with a simple idea of Roy Raymond, Stanford graduate, to open a shop, where men could feel comfortable and purchase lingerie for their beloved wives. Following the first feeble attempt to go to the lingerie shop, he decided to open his own shop and launched the lingerie line that was tremendously successful due to the appropriate business approach and marketing strategy. The name of the cult brand was chosen in the honor of English Queen, Victoria, lover of corsets, who left significant mark in fashion world. She made popular the wedding white dress and orange blossom as bride’s accessory. Next 5 years Raymond had 6 shops and sold beautiful sexy lingerie on catalogs, and further he sold his business to company Brands Limited owned by Leslie H. Wexner.

Wexner expanded the brand assortment by retaining the best, except the lingerie, the dresses, pyjamas, perfumes, shoes and cuddly toys were also sold in the shops. In 1995 Victoria’s Secret brand presented its first collection of lingerie at world-wide grandiose show by complementing the angel models’ looks with the wings of butterflies, angels, peacocks and also create the look of sumptuous, sexual devil woman.

Victoria’s Secret brand is not only the leader on sale of produced products but also the most famous brand in the world.
