For the first time, in 70 years of history of the House of Dior, its creative director is a woman. But who is she, Maria Grazia Chiuri? She thinks that todays’ fashion is to wear what you want to attire at present moment. In our fast flowing world, the people are changing, developing and perceiving things in a new different way and the influence of modern digital-world on fashion cannot be denied. Maria Grazia Chiuri is notable for the quality of her work and she aptly takes advantage of the influence of external factors.

In addition to the previous post about the House of Dior, today’s topic is devoted to the present creative director, talented Italian designer, who has already surprised the fashion world with houte couture collections.

• Maria Grazia Chiuri was born in 1964 in Rome, in Italy. She graduated European Institute of Design in Rome and started her career in Fendi as a designer of accessories. She also invited Pierpaolo Piccioli to Fendi and they became one of the most successful designer duet in the fashion world. Within 10 years Maria Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli converted Fendi brand into a multimillion corporation.

• Maria Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli created Fendi bag – Baguette that had a commercial success.

• In 1999 successful designers were invited for the creation of Valentino debut collection of accessories. After the change of management board in the House of Valentino, both designers became creative directors of accessory lines. In 2009 successful designers became creative directors of the House of Valentino and showed their first haute couture collection.

• Following one year talented fashion duet created phenomenon Rockstud, flat shoes with the belts and studs. Later they also launched line R.E.D Valentino for young people.

• In 2016 Maria Grazia Chiuri started to work as a creative director in the House of Dior.

I wouldn’t consider even written articles about famous designers as a biography, just significant facts that are easy to remember. For beginners, I wouldn’t recommend my articles for some research works, as it requires a thorough study, also I’ve been told that some of my readers even used the material for research work, that was a total surprise for me))))
